Marcus Schenkenberg
Marcus Lodewijk Schenkenberg van Mierop, know to the world as Marcus Schenkenberg, was born on 4 August 1968 in Stockholm, Sweden.
Well know for his washboard stomach and well proportioned body that makes women want to be with him, and men want to be him. Marcus started his modelling career after moving to Los Angeles where was spotted roller skating by American photographer Barry King in 1989. King approached Marcus on the board walk in LA with some photos he’d taken the week before and offered to do some test shots of him.
Taking his professional test shots to bookers it wasn’t long before Marcus hit the big time doing ads for Calvin Klein and Iceberg. He moved to New York in 1991 got a contract with the agency Boss which he found easy to do as he already had some work experience. This was the beginning of Marcus being known by his other name, the only male supermodel.
Marcus Still Lives in New York but has broaden his career past modelling into such thing as acting and was in the films Prince Valiant (1997), Modern Talking (1999), and had the lead role in Hostage (1999).
In 1997, Marcus put his skills to writing, and wrote the autobiographical book "Marcus Schenkenberg, New Rules". The book features photos from his career as well as detailed personal accounts of how he got where he is today, not only that it also features contributions from family members, and colleagues from the fashion business.
