2008-2009 PolinaJ received an invitation to become a member of WHO IS WHO.

Originally from Russia. PolinaJ studied in Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance in Israel. She was blessed to study with legendary pianist/composer Slava Ganelin. Started singing, playing piano and performing in the very early age. (Classical School- Russia; Jazz & Composition - Israel). Was performing as a jazz pianist in Israel. On October 2001 PolinaJ came to US. She formed her band "The Desires" and played many shows in top NY clubs and at festivals. In 2004 POLINAJ AND THE DESIRES recorded their first album.

PolinaJ’s song "Just for you" is heard in the movie "Titillating Steven" movie /Gemelli Productions, Hollywood.

PolinaJ studied acting and screenwriting at Lee Strasberg Institute, NYC with famous actor Chad Burton. She did a couple of movies and performed in local NYC theaters.

In Spring 2007, POLINAJ relocated from NYC to Los Angeles, California to further her solo career.

POLINAJ is a very creative person, she never stops to write new material.
She continues to work in screenwriting, acting, modeling and dancing. She is fluent in four languages, and is an experienced dancer in belly-dance, hip-hop, latin, modern forms.

PolinaJ makes connection between creativity and spirituality, two worlds she is interested in.

This contest is judged by a panel of Grammy winners and individuals from Rolling Stone, ABC television and other media:

"Love me just the way I am" is a FINALIST song in the monthly international contest "Song of the year" (TOP 5, the 3rd place).

PolinaJ's blues "YOU" got into Blues TOP 20 FINALISTS at the 11TH Annual International Songwriting Contest "UNISONG":
Two other tunes she submitted ("The letter without words" and "You'll never know") also got an honorable mentions in jazz section.

The "Song of the year" international competition selected "Just for you" song one of "The Runner-Ups" is based on high scores from the judges. "Song of the Year receives entries from all over the world and only the top entries achieve Runner Up status.

"PolinaJ has also been selected as a "Suggested Artist" in the December 2006 round of competition.

PolinaJ has been selected as a Runner Up in January "Song of the year" competition - two of her instrumental tunes: "Thinking of you at sunset" and "Imagination".

PolinaJ's lyrics were published in "DowntownLa" magazine in the April Issue.
